Effective advocacy for vulnerable children and families can be difficult, but during a national health crisis, the need for good, vetted information becomes even more critical. As we pulled together COVID-19 information and tools for the families that we work with it became obvious that our region needed a centralized place to keep and share it between our community partnerships.

If this tool helps you, we are grateful. If you have information that helps children and families in our region (especially those in the child welfare or court systems), please send the details and a verifiable source link to info@casaneworleans.org for consideration.

We believe that every child deserves a safe, permanent, nurturing home. We are not public health experts (you can find those here) and we are not experts on your family. This tool was created first with the volunteer Advocates in mind as they continue to advocate, monitor, facilitate, and investigate on behalf of the child on their case. There may be less face to face contact; however, Advocates still undertake all of the roles and duties of a CASA volunteer Advocate to the extent possible in a time like this.
